Born into a family deeply rooted in the marine and restaurant industries, Mark grew up with a profound respect for marine craftsmanship and was guided by his uncle, a seasoned marine contractor and fisherman.

From an early age, Mark was immersed in the world of marine construction, spending summers on fishing boats and assisting in harbor projects alongside the Army Corps of Engineers. This early exposure to marine regulations and codes forged a solid foundation in high-quality marine construction, setting the stage for what would become a landmark business on Lake Norman.
